Christmas with the family!

I love love this day and look forward to it for a long time but it just seems t go by so very fast you spend so much time getting ready to have everyone over and in a blink of the eye it's over. Thank goodness for pics because that is what I go back and look at and really enjoy you can sit and really look at people and the expressions on their faces and well it just makes me smile. This year I decided to start a yearly photo book of the holidays that over the years I can put out for everyone to look at and hopefully it will make them smile and maybe even laugh too. Danny loves to sit and look at old pictures sometimes a d I thought this would be a fun idea to start so I had a coupon for a free photo book from a place called printer pix and decided I would do a Christmas one to have this year for some of the past ones and I like the idea but not the place I got the book from it just seems cheap and not made that well but heck it was FREE so what do you expect lol! Here is a couple of pics............

Oh you little Tamale!

I am a girl who loves a lot of things and one of those is Mexican food I really do think I could eat it everyday. So when I met my husband 14 years ago I just knew he was for me....... He's Mexican lol no really that's not the reason I married him but it has been a nice bonus! Now I do love to cook but let me tell ya Tamales are a labor of love it really is a two day process and lots of standing but the end result is (hopefully) a little bit of yummy ness for your mouth! Now as everyone will tell you when making Tamales it always better to have help and this go around my sweet SIL and hubby's sister came to help. We always have a lot of fun and plenty of giggling to go around. Now this was the second time I have tried to make these and I think this was the best batch so far as in taste but not so much on the Masa end of it. I think the Masa was a little dry but for me this is going to be a try, try and try again till I get it the way I like it! Since I'm new to this blog thing I forgot to take pics of the process and will try to do better in the future cuz well I just like pics I'm a visual kind of girl. I hope to make this a holiday tradition in the future so hopefully i will get this down sometime! lol so in the meantime I will leave you with a end result pic to enjoy...............

Christmas Continued.......

We love Christmas here in the Lujan house and every year we just seem to add more and more Danny with lights outside and me with the village. I started my village shortly after Danny and I got married and it just seems to keep growing, more so in the last couple of years. I really do love our little village! This year we added this cute little camper to go along with our new love of Motor homin! I just love this little camper.......

Danny also surprised me with another addition and we like it but let me tell ya those little LED lights are BRIGHT! I had to use nail polish on them to soften them up a bit so they wouldn't burn your retinas lol but none the less we love it!

 

 

Here is some of the other pics of our village we are still on the look out for the perfect Firehouse! So we have a missing spot and that is what it was for but we just didn't find one maybe next year.....

 

 

 

 

 

 

As much as I love that little village the thing that make me smile and gives me that warm fuzzy feeling is our tree! We have and will always have a fresh cut REAL tree I love everything about having a real tree The Good (smell) The Bad (the keeping it alive) and The Ugly. ( when it dies and drops all the little needles!) This year our poor tree was mostly the Ugly it never stood a chance with the past summer and the drought all the trees were in bad shape and this one I think was just doomed but it did us well it looked good and put up a great fight and made our Christmas so very Merry and Bright!!

I love Christmas!!!!!!

As you can see I have a new Christmas design for the blog I just love this time year and so to get the festivities started I decided to have Jenn from Munchkin land designs put a new design on the blog and I must say I love it!!!!!


I have been working this week on getting the house done and what happens I get a cold how nice!!!!! It has made decorating not so fun!!!!!

Danny has been doing a lot of outside lights and they are looking great he does such a good job as always he's my Clark Griswold we just love to light it up!!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!!!!!

Last night we went to The Journey to Bethlehem at Forest Hill Church with some friends after dinner and we had no idea what to expect and boy was I surprised when we showed up. First the line was long and when I say long I mean wrap around the back of the church long and stand in line for like a hour long and since we had never been to this before we had no idea where the end may be ....... we thought when we got to the front door that would be it but to our surprise that was not how it was. Now it was a lot warmer then standing in line outside but the line continued in the church weaving up and down halls and eventually to the main worship hall (holding tank) where again we were waiting but this time we got to sit and they had entertainment that was nice. We sang songs which I love to do because I'm so good at it (not) and we did my favorite and by that time much needed because I was getting so tired. The song was the 12 days of Christmas that they had us do and Each row got a day to sing, ours was 10 Lords a Leaping and I might add our row did amazing! We were in the what I call the holding tank for about 45 min and just when I was starting to lose hope and looking for the exit they came to get us to start our Journey to Bethlehem! It was a lot of fun and it only took us about 20 minuets to do but I am glad I stuck in and did it because I can not think of a better way to start this Holiday season. I am so glad our friends took us along and because as they say it's not about the destination it's about the Journey and last night was a very fun one! Thanks for the invite and the memories Jennings family!

I'm serious this time!!!!!

I have wanted to start this blog for a long time well at least 3 years and as we all know it just never seems to happen and I'm not sure why really but here I go again with the best of intentions!!! I think a lot of what keeps me for posting is that I feel like I really don't have anything good to post but I have decided that is just BS and I'm going to just get this started it may be boring at times and I'm sure it will be funny at times to as thats me but the only way to see is to get started and see what happens so thats the plan. I'm not sure how often I will post and I sure don't know what I will post about but one thing I do know is that I will have fun and if nothing else i will have checked one thing off my bucket list and that's a start !!!! Now let's just hope I post more then once a year lol

Who doesn't love gloss?

So today I decided to clean out my purse and organize it

but along the way I got distracted by you guessed it lip gloss why you might ask well look what I found in my purse.............













             




So I decided to go look in my make up and see how many more I had and this is what I found.......









Now I love lip gloss and am always looking at it but this is crazy!!!!!!  Who can use all of this?!?!?!?!?!
But I do have my favorites!!!!! Lets Start with the purse pic the Blue and pink one is by Maybelline and is called Baby Lips in Quench and I love it it is one of my favs it is clear but still has a little shine to it. The yellow one is just a good moisturizing one. The 3rd is a Juicy Tube and it packs more shine with a little sparkle ( and I love me some sparkle!!!). 4th one too is just more of a everyday one that danny  uses too so no shine really.The 5th one is a yummy sparkle one that I got from Jordan Essentials.
The last pic well other the the stila ones I really don't use that often. I do love the ones I have from Stilla I use them everyday before I leave the house!  It is just enough shine with just the perfect amount of sparkle so it is always my go to!!!!!  Well now to finish that purse!!!!!!!!

New Year New Adventures!

I have wanted to start a blog for a long time but well it's just never happened so that was one of my goals for 2012 and so it begins.

I am hoping to have fun with this and share all the crazy things that go on in my life!!!
